Glen started his aviation journey alongside his science teaching career in 2011, completing his PPL(A) followed shortly after by a CPL(A) and instructor rating. In 2017, realising the pull of aviation was too great, Glen was successful in being selected by NATS as an Air Traffic Controller cadet and completed his training in Aerodrome & Approach Surveillance control before being posted to Heathrow Air Traffic Control Tower in 2018 where he has remained since providing aerodrome control, on the job instruction, tower supervisor, and examining duties.
Continuing to fly and instruct around his shift work, Glen completed his multi engine rating and instrument rating in 2024. He is also returning to his MSc Human Factors in Aviation degree and hopes to be able to continue contributing to aviation safety as a member of the Advisory Board.
