Michael Fowkes 

Michael Fowkes began his maritime career within the fishing sector in South Africa before joining the merchant marine fleet, spending his early career on product tankers before moving into the salvage and offshore sectors. In 2011 he joined the emergency response towage and salvage sector in various roles including Master on offshore towage and supply vessels. During this period he was involved in multiple operations, from search and rescue in the Southern Ocean to working on site during some of the largest, most complex salvage and wreck removal operations. He now works ashore as a marine and salvage consultant and has recently been appointed to the Lloyds SCR Panel.
