Captain Hemant is a master mariner, MBA and a Fellow of the Nautical Institute (FNI). He has sailed for 16 years and was in port operations for 12 years, of which 8 years were in Singapore. For the last 4 years, he has been in the shipping and port consultancy at Drewry (a 50 years old UK-based company).
Hemant has been a regular contributor to MARS reports and is also the technical editor of the upcoming 3rd edition of the Bulk Carriers Operations Book by the Nautical Institute, which is considered as the bible in the industry for dry bulk.
