A sailor since childhood, Simon has raced and cruised extensively. From Mirror dingys to his present 30-ton Schooner, having been an owner and having to sea onboard many different vessels over the years he has a good understanding of the needs of mariners both leisure and commercial.
He began teaching sailing and navigation in Cowes moving on from there to become a freelance instructor with many schools around the Solent/South coast.
In 2013 he was appointed one of the RYA’s Yachtmaster Examiners for sail, power and Yachtmaster Ocean.
