We welcome information and reporting on safety incidents from anywhere in the world and from all parts of the maritime industry. This includes commercial seafarers, fishers, recreational and leisure mariners, anyone who works in a port or harbour and also from members of the public.
We take every report seriously and carry out necessary investigations before publishing our findings for companies and other maritime works to learn from without revealing any identities. Once analysed, we anonymise and share the information via our various publications, which can be used by individuals and industry stakeholders for training and incorporated into safety management systems to improve maritime safety culture. It can also be used as an evidence base for identifying improvements to current safety regulations.
There are currently 4 Maritime FEEDBACK newsletter types and each contains reports and current topics of particular relevance to those sectors.
General maritime
Commercial Fishing
Ports and harbours
Superyachts
We also publish an annual digest, hot topics, Sea Views podcast and safety videos.
Our safety briefings are available at no cost via our website and newsletters.
