Alastair started his career as a Propulsion Technician in the Royal Air Force serving 6 years on the Merlin helicopter. He spent the next 10 years working with civil VIP helicopters at Blackbushe, Stanstead and Denham gaining his B1.3 and C licence, alongside an Aircraft Engineering Degree and Aviation Maintenance Management Post Graduate Diploma. Alastair has been in a Safety and Compliance role for the past 9 years, across Part 145, CAMO/Part M, Design and Production and a good spread of foreign authority approvals too. He joined British Airways in 2018.
